Duffer’s Premium Big Barbwire makes barbwire for ranches, farms, and businesses who are looking to add a decorative flair to entrances, gates, fences, arches, and signage. Some folks may know us as Duffer’s Wicked Wire - we changed names, but offer the same high quality barbwire and commitment to customer service. We just have a new name!
Our barbwire is made with care and skill using high quality and durable steel. We do not use tubing in our big barbwire - our barbed wire is SOLID STEEL, so tubing is not needed. Tubing makes the barbwire more fragile, which is why we use solid steel in our big barbwire. At Duffer’s, we manufacture barbwire but we do NOT install or fabricate our barbed wire into other materials.
About Us:
Duffer’s Premium Big Wire was started by Duff Calkins. Duff is a skilled machinist and took his craft to making high quality barbwire.
Meet Duff:
When I was a young boy in school, my teacher stated that manufacturing was a thing of the past in America. She said that machines would take over and do all of the work, so I should focus in higher education as a doctor or lawyer and such. I raised my hand and said I would rather work on the machines that are going to do the work. That was a long time ago. Now after 30 plus years of working on + building industrial machines - I can say, I am a machine guy! I am also a Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and entrepreneur.

Barbwire Specifications

We specialize in premium, big barbwire. We offer 1st and 2nd gen wire.

Our 1st gen big barbwire comes in lengths of 10 feet and is double 5/8” solid steel twisted together with a solid steel 3/8” barb every 11 inches and barbs are 5.5 inches across. Barbs are affixed and not adjustable - the barbs are on the outer edge of the wire.

Our 2nd gen big barbwire comes in lengths of 10 feet and is double 5/8” solid steel twisted together with a solid steel 3/8” barb every 12 inches and barbs are 5.5 inches across. Barb direction is adjustable - the barbs are on the inner edge of the wire.

Our wire is made with solid steel. Since our barbed wire is solid steel - there is no tubing. Our solid steel wire welds great unlike thin walled tubing.

Each 10 foot stick of barbwire weighs 25 pounds.

We make routine, regional delivery runs in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas. We also deliver to South Dakota, North Dakota, Colorado, New Mexico, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and other states as requested. We service the continental United states.
If you have a specific delivery in mind that is not on our regional barbwire run - don’t worry! For an additional charge, we can schedule a delivery to your ranch, farm, or business on a specific date! In order to give an accurate quote, all we need is a zip code and an order size.
